Usability Testing
We evaluate the usability of a web site or software application through an objective, structured process called a usability
test. Steps:
- Recruit a representative cross-section of potential users (typically 6-8).
- Participants perform
tasks using the site or product without assistance.
- You observe customers behind a one-way mirror as they perform the tasks.
- Participants are asked to "think-aloud" while performing the tasks.
- Participant’s feedback, mouse movements and facial expressions are
recorded on videotape.
- Findings and Recommendations are documented.
